When you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. If you enable weather features, we also store your garden's approximate location (latitude/longitude) to retrieve local weather data. That's it for personal information.
Your garden data (seeds, grow log entries, plants, sources, wishlists, journal entries, photos) is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase, a trusted open-source platform. Your data is also cached locally on your device for fast access.
SeedTree uses your browser's localStorage to cache your data for fast loading and offline resilience. This data stays on your device and is not accessible to us or anyone else. Signing out clears all locally cached data.
You can export all your data at any time using the built-in export feature (JSON format). If you want your account and all associated data deleted, contact us and we'll take care of it promptly.

SeedTree is a garden tracking tool built by a small family team. Use it to track your seeds and plants. Don't use it to do anything illegal or harmful. We'll do our best to keep it running and your data safe. If you pay for a subscription, we'll treat your money with the same respect we treat your data.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person, please. Don't share your account or use someone else's.
Your garden data belongs to you. We don't claim any ownership or rights over the seeds, plants, notes, photos, or any other content you enter. You can export and take your data with you at any time.
Don't abuse the service. This means no automated scraping, no attempting to access other users' data, no uploading malicious content, and no using SeedTree for anything unrelated to its intended purpose. We reserve the right to set reasonable limits on storage and usage if an account's activity is far outside personal gardening use.
Basic — up to 50 items (seeds, plants, grows, sources, books, gardeners). 10 photos. Journal entries and lists are unlimited on all tiers. No credit card required.
Pro ($59/year) — no hard caps on seeds, plants, grows, or photos. Includes Garden Designer, Photo Gallery, and future premium features.
We may introduce additional tiers in the future.
Subscriptions are billed annually through Stripe. Your subscription does not auto-renew by default — that's a deliberate choice, not an oversight. We'd rather remind you and let you decide than quietly charge your card once a year. We'll let you know in the app when your renewal date is approaching. If you prefer not to think about it, you can turn on auto-renewal from your profile.
We'll give you at least 12 months' notice before any price change affects your account, and you can always cancel before the new price takes effect. If you cancel and later re-subscribe, the current pricing at that time applies.
Cancel whenever you want — no penalties, no hoops. When you cancel:
If you're not happy within the first 30 days of a new subscription or renewal, email us at contact@myseedtree.com and we'll refund you in full. No questions asked.
After the first 30 days, cancellations take effect at the end of your billing period — we don't issue partial refunds for unused time. You keep full Pro access until your year is up.
